GGU-FOOTING: "Berms" menu item
A maximum of five berms may be defined using this menu item depending on the analysis method selected. The "Slope to DIN 4017:2006" check box in the "Edit/System parameters" dialog box must be deactivated. The berms may not overlap. The program checks that this condition is adhered to and warns of any errors. Any berms defined using "Edit/System parameters" are set to 0.0 if you define one or more berms using this menu item.
To get the berms shown above enter the values into the dialog box as shown:
Enter the x-ordinate of the toe and the head. Define the height of the berm with "delta h". Negative values are also allowed here. Finally, a surcharge load can be specified for the horizontal area behind the head of the berm.
