GGU-3D-SSFLOW: "Values in section" menu item
This menu item is identical with the "z/Define section" menu item, but was included here again in order to clearly demonstrate the possibilities for section evaluations. You can also access this menu item using the tool in the 3D toolbar.
A section course can be defined in analogy to the "Evaluation/Values along line" menu item. After confirming by pressing [Return] the defined section is displayed on the screen. Further evaluations (e.g. displaying contours) are performed in this vertical section.
This menu item can be very impressively applied to represent a cut-away, 3-dimensional view of the system, including potential lines, etc. In order to make the system visible with the various soils, select the tool from the 3D toolbar ("3D/External model" menu item).
You can also define a circular section, ending back at the starting point. If the circular section is defined anti-clockwise, it protrudes similar to a tower. If the circular section is defined clockwise, you will see a depression; you can "see inside" this "hole". If you change the active plane (e.g. using the tool), the view also changes. Try it!
If you select the tool ("3D/Potential external model" menu item) instead of
, the potentials on the section faces are displayed.
If you are viewing a section and wish to return to the plan visualisation or evaluation, go to the "Mesh(x/y)/Mesh" menu item or use the tool in the menu toolbar.
