GGU-CONTAM-RW: Overview
GGU-CONTAM-RW: Overview
The primary aim of contaminant transport modelling is the prognosis of future conditions based on given initial data and, on occasion, pre-specified countermeasures.
Using a numerical analysis approach, even complicated systems can be investigated and assessed. Precise modelling of the natural conditions is difficult, due to the multitude of initial parameters required and the inhomogeneity of aquifers. Before any contaminant transport modelling, you should therefore ensure that your initial data justify this.
