GGU-UPLIFT: Create new data set (Ex. 1)
Starting the program afresh you will be directly shown the dialog box of the menu item "File/New". You can enter a project identification, which will then be displayed in the General legend on the screen.
If the "Use absolute heights check box is activated (program default), the height input of soil layers and groundwater will be in absolute coordinates (e.g. in m AD). Otherwise, "Top of system" corresponds to 0.0 m and all height input is positive downwards.
After clicking the "OK" button, the system is represented in section on the screen and the general and soil properties legends displayed, showing default values.
Using the "Edit/Top of system" menu item, you now enter the excavation base at 65.00 m AD as the top of the system. After clicking "OK", you will first see a query asking how the existing elevation soil strata and groundwater data should be handled. Deactivate all check boxes and exit the dialog box by pressing "OK".
