GGU-DIRECTSHEAR: Starting the program

After starting the program, you will see two menus at the top of the window:

  • File

  • Info

After clicking the "File" menu, either an existing file can be loaded by means of the "Load" menu item, or new tests can be entered using "New". After clicking "File/New" it is necessary to select whether visualisation of the shear stress-path diagram shall take place on the output sheet. If the check box is activated an empty A3 format page is displayed on the screen when the dialog box is closed, otherwise an A4 format output sheet is displayed. The menu bar will then show five menus:

  • File

  • Edit

  • Graphics preferences

  • Output preferences

  • Info
