GGU-DENSITY: Preface

The GGU-DENSITY program system allows determination and visualisation of soil density to German Standards DIN 18125, Part 2. The program provides three different methods of density determination. These are the four field methods:

• densitometer method (balloon method, Test DIN 18125 - 2 B)

• sand replacement method (Test DIN 18125 - 2 S)

• cylinder (proctor) method (Test DIN 18125 - 2 A)

• cylinder (derived values) method

All three examples from DIN 18125, Part 2 can be found in the files "Densito-e.dct", "Sand-e.dct" and "Cylinder-e.dct".
