GGU-STABILITY: System description (Ex. 1)
The following simple slope shall be calculated using Janbu's method:
We have a 6.0 m high slope, to be reinforced with geosynthetics. The groundwater level is at surface level. The system has two differing soils. The soil properties are given in the legend. A permanent load of 5 kN/m² on the slope is to be considered.
In principle, system input can be carried out manually using direct numerical input, or with the mouse on the screen, or with a mixture of the two. Direct numerical system input is described in the "Worked example 2: Data input via editor". All further explanations concerning numerical system input can be found in Section "Editor 1/Enter system parameters" menu item.
Following, input with the mouse will be described.
